Sauted mushrooms, with garlic, lemon & Coriander




Simply one of the best ways I have encountered to eat this chestnut mushrooms… the flavours from the garlic and the lemon enhance the mushrooms to another degree.. it’s a quick and simple recipe, no frills, straight forward mushrooms to accompany your mains at any time! Perfect side dish for any grilled fish / meat dish, great with scrambled eggs on your Sunday brunch….

  • 250 g organic chestnut mushrooms
  • 5 garlic cloves (sliced)
  • tamari
  • 1/2 a lemon
  • 1/2 bunch coriander/ parsley
  • salt & pepper

Right so in a pan, heat up a drizzle of olive oil and add your sliced garlic.  Fry them for a minute or two and add your mushrooms (you can slice them or chop them in 4).

Season your mushrooms with salt & pepper and cook them for 5 -7min. Add your lemon juice and 2 tablespoons of the tamari or soya sauce.  Another 2 min and you can add your chopped coriander or parsley.
